5th class roll number slip — PECTAA Grade 5

The Grade 5 roll number slip is the admit card for the assessment. It carries the roll number, the exam centre and the reporting time. Here is how schools issue it, what to check, and what to do if it is lost.

What the 5th class roll number slip is

It is the document a Grade 5 candidate must bring to sit the paper. Without it, the invigilator may not let the child into the hall. The board generates it once a school's registration is accepted, and it links the student to a specific seat at a specific centre.

What is printed on it

  • Roll number — the number used to look up the Grade 5 result later.
  • Student's name and father's name, date of birth and B-Form number.
  • The Grade 5 subjects — English, Urdu, Islamiyat or Ethics, Mathematics and General Science.
  • Exam centre — the name and address of the building where papers are held.
  • Reporting time, the school's name and code, and the headmaster's signature and stamp.

How to get it

  1. The board prints the slips

After a school's Grade 5 registration is accepted on the IBS portal, the board generates a slip for every candidate.

  2. The school receives them

Slips reach schools a week or two before the first paper, with the seating and centre details.

  3. Parents collect from school

The class teacher hands them out. Check the details on the spot and raise any mistake immediately.

Some boards allow a reprint from the portal

A few divisional boards let schools reprint a slip from their portal, and occasionally publish a candidate download near the exams. When your board offers this for Grade 5, the link appears on the notification — and here.

Check these details before the exam

  • Name and father's name spelled exactly as on the school records.
  • Date of birth and B-Form number correct, digit for digit.
  • All five subjects listed, with Islamiyat or Ethics as appropriate.
  • Centre address and reporting time — a parent should do a practice trip if it is unfamiliar.

If the slip is lost

Do not leave it until exam morning. Go to the school office and ask for a duplicate — schools can reprint a Grade 5 candidate's slip from the board's system. Take the duplicate to the centre with the school's confirmation. Keeping a clear photo of the original from the start avoids this entirely.

5th class roll number slip questions

The board sends Grade 5 slips to each registered school shortly before the exams. Parents collect them from the school office, not from the authority directly.
After registration closes and usually a week or two before the first Grade 5 paper.
Ask the school for a duplicate — schools can reprint it from the board's system. Do this before exam day.
It makes the search quicker because it carries the roll number, but you can also search by name if the slip is lost.
